What is Genital HPV

Genital HPV is transmitted sexually by human papilloma virus. Its main symptom is the appearance of warts on genitalia which affects both men & women. Warts can be removed surgically or by means of medicines. But this doesn’t mean that the sufferer has been completely cured from the viral attack. These viruses remain for more than two years at times and the warts may occur once again. In the mean time the body will fight the virus by developing immunity to the so called “human papilloma virus”.
As its well known fact from the previous sections that this is a sexually transmitted disease, irresponsible sexual behavior leaves you open to infection. Having a direct contact with the infected area causes this disease to spread in most cases. Having anal sex or virginal sex or even oral sex can spread this disease. Condoms are also of no use in this case. This virus spreads in areas where a condom doesn’t cover.
There are several ways of being affected by this virus. Having multiple sex leads to maximum possibility of attaining this virus. Those people who have suffered in the past because of this virus also are subjective to suffer again since the warts have the tendency to reappear. Some of the rare possibilities are situations like infected pregnant women giving birth to their children can also pass this virus to their children. One way to counter attack this is to have sex with your partner alone and to have medical checkups regularly if any one of you has suffered from this before.
You can overcome these HPV warts by surgery or prescription medications or by using creams and homeopathic pathways. You must ensure proper medical treatment if you think you is being affected with HPV warts. You can have many treatment options once the disease is being diagnosed. Discuss this with your wife and avoid having sex till you consult a medical professional.
